The Borrower Arrietty

As I was google’in for topic to write, I came across this – Studio Ghibli has released The Borrower Arrietty yesterday in Japan.

Adapted from Mary Norton’s fantasy novel The Borrowers,  the movie tells of a group of 10 cm tall “tiny people ” – 14-year-old Arrietty, whom with the rest of the Clock family live in a home made from items “borrowed” from the house’s human inhabitants. But life changes when a human boy discovers Arrietty.

Hiromasa Yonebayashi, who is the youngest person to direct a film for Ghibli, has worked in a couple of Ghibli’s show such as Sprited Away and Princess Mononoke previously. In case you’re wondering how’s the show, Ghibli founder Hayao Miyazaki was supervising the production as a developing planner. So I guess it should be up to a certain standard.

What attracted me the most was the music – titled Arriety’s Song, composed & sang by Cécile Corbel. Ghibli filmmakers first knew about her from a fan letter she sent showing her appreciation of their films. They thought she would be perfect for composing the music for their next movie after hearing a CD of her music she sent to them.

Who would have thought it could turn out this way. Guess she must be very happy working with a studio she loved. (^ – ^ )

Hope you like the song as much as I do. In the meanwhile, I just have to wait patiently till it’s showing in Singapore then.

Various Anime Openings and Endings

It’s been quite some time since my last post. Was working til rather late the past few weeks, don’t even have much time for my anime. (- _ – )

Sometime, I watch certain anime due to their songs. One of them is KissDum. Come to think of it, most of the anime I like always have nice songs. I think that’s definitely one of the deciding factors whether I choose to watch the particular anime or not.

As such, I’ve been so called “collecting” anime’s OP and ED to my YouTube favourite list. And here’s the list of video I’ve collected.

See which anime interest you as well. What are some of the anime song which you like, not necessary from the video list. Share it with me. (^-^)

Mushi-Uta OP & ED

Otaku Surf had commented his interest in this new anime in my last post, but I don’t think it’s good to review the anime after only watching the 1st episode. So posting the OP and ED of the anime for those whom might also be interested in this anime instead. Will review on the anime after a few more episode. (^_^)

The OP is “Mushi-Uta (ムシウタ)” by Akatsuki, and the ED, “Sayonara” by Hiromi Sato. Personally, I like the ED more than the OP. The rhythm of the music accompanied by the beautiful voice of Hiromi Sato is great. What about you?

OP: Mushi-Uta (ムシウタ) by Akatsuki

ED: Sayonara by Hiromi Sato

Zero no Tsukaima season 2

Just catch the 1st episode of the Zero no Tsukaima season 2: Soutsuki No Kishi. It did not disappoint me. Definitely worth the long wait. (≧∇≦)
